The new VCU Internship Funding Program (IFP) has officially launched and the application is now live for VCU students to complete in RAM Scholarship Hub (search “Internship Funding Program”). This program is open to undergraduate students across majors and funds provided by the IFP can be used to cover internship-related expenses up to $5,000 per student for travel, housing, childcare, professional attire, supplies and more.

This funding will help close access and equity gaps for students participating in unpaid or underpaid internship experiences in Summer 2022, making professional development possible. The application portal will close for review on Tuesday, March 15. Funds will be awarded to selected students via direct deposit by Friday, May 6. VCU Career Services will hold IFP informational sessions on Feb. 3, Feb. 15, and March 1. VCU Career Services will be sharing social media posts for these sessions closer to their dates and registration is already open on Handshake. Students may visit the IFP website for more information and FAQs, but are also encouraged to contact VCU Career Services at [email protected] or make an appointment with a Career Advisor through Handshake if you have questions.

There are also some community engagement opportunities with local public schools both at VCU & at the schools. Dates & times vary. Please contact Jo Murphy if you’re interested.
