EKU Dual Credit EKU’s dual credit program is open to high school and home school juniors and seniors, residing in Kentucky. (Check with your guidance counselor.)

EKU’s dual credit program is open to high school and home school juniors and seniors, residing in Kentucky, who meet the eligibility requirements, and whose school is partnering with EKU in this endeavor. This program provides the opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to enroll in EKU courses for dual credit - receiving college credit from EKU and high school credit from their high schoo

l. Studies have shown that students who participate in dual credit programs:

● Are better prepared for college level work

● Tend to enroll full-time in college after high school graduation

● Complete their college work more quickly and successfully

● Are able to save thousands of dollars in tuition

● Are able to fully transfer most, if not all, of their EKU courses to other universities (refer to: http://soto.eku.edu/transferstudents/course-equivalency)
How do I qualify?

● You must be a junior or senior in high school residing in Kentucky.

● You must have an unweighted grade point average of 2.5. ACT scores are not required for admission but may be required for some classes.

● You must have minimum ACT/PLAN scores of 18 in English, 20 in Reading and a Composite ACT score of 20 at the time of application to the program*.

● Your high school or home school must be a participating partner.

EKU Assignment Due Dates- Please pay close attention to EKU assignment due dates.  Your high school schedule and EKU’s schedule may not be the same.  You are still responsible for meeting EKU assignment due dates if they fall on a date that you are not “meeting” for high school classes.

Our office will be doing Donations for Citations April 25-29. We are taking donations for Humane Society, Animal League for Life of Madison County, KY. Donations can be used to take care of ONE $25 citation OR have $25 removed from a higher priced citation. *Tow/boot fees excluded* Donations should be brought to the Parking Office (Commonwealth 212).

The Information Session will provide a brief overview of all programs offered in the College of Justice, Safety & Military Science as well as information on careers, student organizations and the Living Learning Community.
