As we all mourn the loss of our very own, Marcus Bingham, let’s unite in his honor. Join SGA in honoring our dear friend and advisor this Thursday, November 6th at 4:30pm in Whitewater Lobby. All IUE students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends are welcome to attend as we remember Marcus and the impact he made in our lives. As we all suffer from the loss of a friend, please love one another. Take care Red Wolves.

It is, unfortunately, time to say goodbye to another President 😔 Alyssa Zdobinkski was elected as SGA and IUE Student Body President in 2024. Since then, she has worked to establish stronger connections between SGA and IUE administration and to provide more out reach to students.Alyssa will graduate on May 15th obtaining her degree in Business Administration. She is also set to get married this September to Sam Roberts, an IUE admissions counselor and former SGA senator.Alyssa has worked hard for SGA and for the students of IU East. We will miss her dedication and commitment to making campus a better place!Please come visit, Alyssa!!! 🎓❤️

SGA was so excited to meet Dr. Charlie Nelms today!

Dr. Nelms was Chancellor at IU East from 1987 to 1994. He has held other positions within the IU system including Director of the University Division & Associate Dean of Student Services at Indiana University NorthwestHe also served as VP for Institutional Development and Student Affairs at Indiana University from 1998 until 2007.

He has had an extensive career outside of IU serving as Chancellor for North Carolina Central University and as a leader for University of Michigan-Flint and Sinclair Community College.

Even though he’s had a a robust career, Dr. Nelms has always considered IU East and IU home and remains actively involved.

We thank Dr. Nelms for taking the time to meet with our Senators!!!

We have six senators who will be graduating this year and will (unfortunately) be departing from SGA. 😢 We are so thankful for their service and dedication to making IU East a better place!

On Friday, IU East SGA got to attend the AUSA State Leadership conference at IU Indianapolis AUSA stands for All University Student Association and is the primary way that students from across all IU campuses collaborate together.

Senators Alicia Callahan, Alicia Marin, Colby Cox, Nathan Hogg, Jennie Mescher, and President Alyssa Zdobinkski got meet and interact with SO MANY student leaders!

We can’t wait for next year!
