At nine o’clock on the evening of the eighth day of the eighth month of the year 1839, eight earnest young men, all students at Miami University, held the first meeting of Beta Theta Pi in the Hall of the Union Literary Society, an upper room in the old college building (known as “Old Main”).

Here's to our 174th anniversary, damn proud to be a Beta!

("I will forever uphold...") Following pledge testimonials in Beta's founding room of "Old Main" in Oxford, congrats to the men of our chapter at Eastern Kentucky Univ. in the heart of the bluegrass for adding another six to their band - pushing the chapter's lifetime membership to 709. Sporting the chapter's traditional letters embroidered with their big brother's roll # under the hood, they're headed back to Richmond for a multitude of sorority formals. Snaps...and be safe, guys. You made the Fraternity proud with this new class! Beta Theta Pi Delta Xi Chapter
