Our Pre-Licensure BSN and Post-Licensure RN to BSN degree programs prepare students to serve patients in a wide variety of settings. A new tradition. The beginning of an incredible journey. 🩺💙

Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing celebrated its first-ever Stethoscope Ceremony, marking an important first step for our students as they begin their journey toward becoming nurses.

Surrounded by classmates, faculty, family and friends, students received their stethoscopes as a symbol of the compassion, responsibility and purpose they will carry with them throughout their nursing education and into the profession.

This is only the beginning, and we cannot wait to see where their journeys take them.

Welcome Week at CON and SOMI was one for the books. 🐐☕

A new chapter begins for St. Mary’s Hospital School of Medical Imaging. 💙

Last week, we were proud to celebrate the grand opening of SOMI’s new home alongside the students, faculty, staff, leaders and community members who helped make this milestone possible.

From the ribbon cutting to the first look inside the new space, the day was a celebration of how far SOMI has come and everything still ahead. Most importantly, it was a celebration of the people who make this school what it is.

A special thank you to Amy Pozza, chief financial officer, for the leadership, dedication and countless hours she contributed to helping bring SOMI’s new home to life. We’re also incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part in making this new space possible and helping bring this milestone to fruition.

A little laughter, a lot of connection and one shared purpose. 💙

Our Richmond Higher Education Institutions came together for Convocation to kick off the 2026-27 academic year, reconnect as one RHEI community and reflect on the values that guide how we support our students and one another.

From Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing to Southside College of Health Sciences and St. Mary’s Hospital School of Medical Imaging, each school brings something different to our community. Together, we are rooted in purpose and rising in unity as we prepare for another year of learning, service and growth.

And just like that, we’re back. 💙

The first week of classes is officially here, and whether it’s your first semester or your final stretch, we’re so happy to have you at BSMCON, SCHS and SOMI.

A new semester means new classes, new faces, new goals and plenty to look forward to. As you get settled in, remember you have a whole community behind you. From faculty and staff to academic advising, student support, wellness resources and career services, we’re here when you need us.

Ask questions, meet new people, celebrate the small wins and take things one day at a time. Every class, clinical and experience is another step toward where you want to be.

Orientation week: complete. ✅ Next stop: the first day of class!

This week, we welcomed the newest students of Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing, including our Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing students, Southside College of Health Sciences and St. Mary’s Hospital School of Medical Imaging.

From meeting classmates and faculty to getting familiar with campus, our students are officially ready to begin their next chapter.

What does it take to bring a donor impact story to life? 🎥

Last week, we went behind the scenes with Bookend Creative to capture the people, programs and experiences that show what donor support makes possible at Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing.

From scholarships and student support to clinical simulation and new opportunities for future nurses, the day was all about sharing the impact happening across BSMCON.

A special thank you to everyone who stepped in front of the camera, worked behind the scenes and helped bring this project together. We can’t wait to share the finished video.
