Cerro Coso Community College welcomed the Beta Kappa Chi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa the International Honor Society of the Two Year College in May 2006. Phi Theta Kappa members enjoy the benefits of recognition for their academic achievement, access to numerous scholarship opportunities, and opportunities to serve in leadership positions and in the community.
