🎓✨ Congratulations to Romello Johnson, a 2026 Delta Technical College scholarship recipient from Callaway High School! 🔧💙✨

Romello was awarded a $2,000 scholarship toward the HVAC Program at Delta Technical College. After completing the program, he hopes to work for a company in the field, gain experience, and eventually start his own business. 🔧✨

💭 When asked who has been a big role model and supporter in his life, Romello shared that his wife and himself have been his biggest motivation. He explained that seeing his wife work hard in college pushes him to better himself and stay focused on his goals. 💙👏✨

💡 During high school, Romello learned that he is capable of multitasking and balancing responsibilities. He shared that being involved in band and working at the same time taught him discipline and the importance of finishing what he starts. 📚🌟✨

👨‍🏫 Romello also spoke about the impact of his band directors. He shared that they helped him grow in confidence, taught him how to communicate better, and supported him both personally and financially throughout his high school journey. 🎶👏💙

🎓✨ Congratulations to Justin Bass, a 2026 Delta Technical College scholarship recipient from Canton High School 🚛💙✨

Justin was awarded a $2,000 scholarship toward the CDL Program at Delta Technical College. After completing the program, he hopes to begin working as a truck driver, gaining experience in the field and building a strong future in the transportation industry. 🚛✨

💭 When asked who has been a big role model and supporter in his life, Justin shared that his parents have played a major role. His mom has always believed in him, and his dad has helped guide him by showing him the trucking lifestyle and what it takes to succeed in the field. 💙👏✨

💡 During high school, Justin learned that doing his best consistently is what matters most. He shared that staying focused and putting in effort has helped him stay on the right path. 📚🌟✨

👨‍🏫 Justin also spoke about the impact of his gym coach, who supported him during workouts and taught him proper form and discipline. He shared that his coach helped him stay motivated and improved his confidence in pushing himself physically. 🏋️‍♂️👏💙

🎓✨ Congratulations to Eldrick Foggy, Darius Bolela, and Julian Covington, 2026 Delta Technical College scholarship recipients from Lanier High School, Murrah High School, and Forest Hill High school! 🔥🛠️💙

🔥 Eldrick Foggy received a $3,000 scholarship toward DTC’s Welding Program, where he plans to continue building his skills and experience in the welding industry.

🔥 Darius Bolela received a $2,000 scholarship toward DTC’s Welding Program and hopes to continue growing his skills as he works toward becoming a combo welder.

🔥 Julian Covington received a $2,000 scholarship toward DTC’s Welding Program and plans to continue learning additional trades to build multiple skills for his future.

All three students credited teachers, mentors, and family members for encouraging them throughout their journeys and helping inspire their interest in the skilled trades. 💙👏

Mikayla was awarded a $5,000 scholarship toward the Cosmetology Program at Delta Technical College. After successfully completing the program, she hopes to open her own business and salon space where other hairstylists can also work. She even shared her dream of one day operating a 24-hour salon to serve clients at all times of day and create more opportunities for success in her industry. 💇‍♀️✨💙

💭 When asked who has been a big role model and supporter in her life, Mikayla shared that her son is her biggest motivation. She explained that becoming a mother pushed her to keep going, finish school, and pursue her goals so she can build a better future for him. 💙👶✨

💡 During high school, Mikayla learned that she does not give up easily. She shared that she continues trying, asking questions, and pushing herself to learn new things even when challenges come up. 📚🌟✨

👩‍🏫 Mikayla also spoke about the impact of her teacher, Ms. Kersey, who introduced her to cosmetology, supported her through schoolwork, and continues to encourage her to pursue her dreams. She shared that Ms. Kersey has been a consistent source of guidance, motivation, and support throughout her journey. ✏️💇‍♀️💙✨

💭 When asked who has been a big role model and supporter in his life, Jordan shared that his parents and grandparents have always encouraged him to work hard, stay motivated, and never give up on himself. 💙👏✨

💡 During high school, Jordan learned the importance of staying true to himself, thinking independently, and not needing validation from others. 📚🌟✨

❄️🔧 Micah Wells from received a $2,000 scholarship toward the HVAC/R Technician Program at Delta Technical College! Micah shared that after completing the program, he plans to gain experience working under another professional before eventually starting his own HVAC business. He hopes to build a future where he can provide stability and support for his family while creating opportunities for himself through hard work and determination. 💪🏽🏠✨

💭 Micah shared that both his father and mother have been major role models in his life. Even after his father’s passing, Micah continues to look up to the work ethic and determination he demonstrated while providing for the family. He also spoke about how much his mother means to him, describing her as his “rock” because she always makes sure her children have what they need, even when she sacrifices for herself. ❤️👏✨

📚 During high school, Micah learned the importance of staying focused, avoiding distractions, and continuing to better himself despite challenges and outside influences. He reflected on how much growth and maturity he gained by keeping his priorities straight and staying determined to move forward. 🌟💡✨

🏈 Micah also shared that his football coach, Coach Phil, made one of the biggest impacts on his life. He explained that Coach Phil constantly pushed him to work hard, develop discipline, and understand that a strong work ethic leads to strong results both on and off the field. 👏🔥💙
