Our students in EDCI 3333, taught by Dr. Richard Irizarry, wrapped up the semester with their Science Student Project Presentations! πŸ”¬πŸ§ͺ🍎

As part of the course, students demonstrated science experiments through creative and interactive presentations designed to prepare them for their future classrooms as educators. From hands-on activities to engaging demonstrations, the classroom was filled with excitement, learning, and lots of fun!

These presentations not only showcase our students’ knowledge and creativity, but also help build the confidence and skills they’ll use as future teachers inspiring the next generation. We are so proud of all their hard work this semester! πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ«

Congratulations to Lizette Salinas and Carlos Barrera on being awarded the Miriam Vale Memorial Scholarship!

This year marks a special milestone, as it is the first time the scholarship has been awarded to two students instead of one. We are incredibly proud of both of you and all that you have accomplished.

We can’t wait to see you both excel in your careers as teachers and make a positive impact on the lives of future generations. Your university family is cheering you on every step of the way! πŸŽπŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ«πŸ“š

Thank you to RT Barrera Elementary School for reaching out and inviting the UTRGV Starr County Campus to participate in their Career Fair. We truly appreciate the opportunity to visit with your students and share about the impact of higher education and the teaching profession.

It was especially meaningful to reconnect with past students from different cohorts, including some from the days when our university was still Pan American. Seeing former students now serving and giving back to the community is always a proud moment.

Events like this remind us how important teachers are in shaping the future. Educators inspire curiosity, build confidence, and help guide young minds toward their dreams. We are grateful to all teachers who dedicate their time and passion to making a difference in the lives of their students every day. πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ«πŸŽ
