Based on the idea of a society focused on virtue, our Free Enterprise Center applies a moral perspective to how they respond to and serve the University’s neighbors. “We want to serve people who are very close to us geographically, who are in declining neighborhoods,” says center director Dr. Rachel Ferguson.

Today we're celebrating the great news that a coveted Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award has been received by Dr. Beth Dellegrazie, associate professor of leadership and marketing in our College of Business. She is only the 8th faculty member to earn this distinction in Concordia-Chicago history! The award will allow her to pursue her research project, “Active Learning in Teams and the Link to Transversal Skill Development” at the University of Maribor in Slovenia from October 2024 to January 2025. Professor Don Granholm participated in the DECA in Rosemont on Friday, January 26. Where more than 15 Chicago area high schools sent hundreds of students to compete in mock business presentations and role play situations. Deerfield HS alone sent 200 students. Granholm has already been asked to participate as a judge in the upcoming state "finals" to be held in the coming weeks.
DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
