How's this for a distinguished alumnus?

Together with Pope Leo XIV's alma mater, Catholic Theological Union, Dominican University offers an accelerated pathway to earn both your bachelor’s degree and a master’s in Hispanic Theology. We're honored by this connection and the shared commitment to theological excellence.

Interested in learning at the same school our new pope did? We can help you with that. Check out all the details: https://www.dom.edu/academics/majors-programs/accelerated-program-with-catholic-theological-union

It will take decades and volumes of literature to offer reflection worthy of a papacy and personality that was as era-shaping as that of Pope Francis, the first of his name; the first Latin American Pope in history. For now, as we process this loss, let us consider what Francis provided.
Rarely does such a leader rise that all can look towards and appreciate, not only as a revered expert, but as a supremely wonderful pastor who cared deeply for all people and made a point to welcome the powerless and those on the margins.
Pope Francis preached the Gospel with his life as much as he did with his words.
While we mourn his passing, we celebrate his powerful impact on the Church and world. May his memory be eternal.
