Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity is a unique fraternity with a rich history. Started in 1916 at a teaching college, we have expanded throughout the years, and have recen

tly come to the West Coast. In fact, Zeta Eta at UCR is one of only 7 chapters in California of the 300 in the nation. The Zeta Eta chapter was officially founded in January 2011, and since then we have expanded, grown, and made ourselves a presence on-campus. We recently won the New Student Organization of the Year Award in Spring 2011, and we are looking to keep our momentum going and really make a difference at UC Riverside. To join Phi Sigma Pi, you must fulfill these criteria:
-Have completed at least one quarter or semester of course work (if you are a first-year and do not fulfill this requirement but are still interested in rushing, please come out anyway, we have a separate process for you)
-Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale
-Have at least one more quarter/semester or undergraduate coursework to complete

🎓SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🎓
Kalvin Chow
Degree: B.S. in Business administration - Concentration in Information Systems

Accomplishments: I was a Director of Special Events for ASPB and received the title of Board member of the year! Also increased our annual Bonfire concert attendance by 107% (6k + people) with my co-director Eden Broussard :)

Favorite PSP memory: hanging out with the brothers on discord for late night talks and laughs

Future plan: just trying to figure it all out rn :)

Degree: B.A. Sociology

Throughout my time at UCR, I had the opportunity to be a part of several organizations where I was able to work alongside a great group of people. As an incoming transfer student, during a pandemic, I was missing the social aspect of my college experience. I was looking for a community where I could call home. Joining PSP was one of the best decisions I made. I am grateful for the memories I created within the brotherhood. I appreciate my brothers for the consejos, the times we spent studying at the library, our brodates, for the shoulders I leaned onto, and for all the smiles and laughters we shared. PSP not only gave me the chance to build life-long friendships, but they blessed me with brothers who I called call my family 💜 My future plan is to become a probation officer. As of right now, I will be working and gaining experience with troubled adolescents, where I will be mentoring and helping students navigate their way in schooling. I am nervous and anxious, but I know that with whatever plans I have in the future, my family will always be there to support and guide me throughout my journey. 🫶🏼

Next Wednesday, 5/4 from 10am-2pm, Phi Sigma Pi will be doing Pie-in-the-face! Not only will we have pies (whipped cream on a plate), but we will also have water balloons 🎈🔫

You can pay to either pie a brother in the face or pop a water balloon on them!

1 pie = $4 (buy 3, get the 4th free!)
1 water balloon = $2
2 water balloons = $3

We will accept either cash or venmo 🤩

Midterms can be super stressful, so to deal with stress awareness month, we are giving out free treat bags from 11am - 2pm 🤩
