Hello, Supporters of Geek On! We have some very important and unfortunate news regarding this year's Geek On!.

Geek On! 2020 will, unfortunately, be canceled this year due to circumstances out of our control.

For more information, please see the attached letter.

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION!

If it's your first time at Geek On!, have no fear! We have some handy-dandy maps for you to get around UCR easier! The designated Geek On! parking lot is **LOT 1**.

See the images below for detailed instructions on how to get to Lot 1 in the UCR campus. Get a FREE parking permit from the kiosk and park anywhere in Lot 1.

If you are coming off the 91E and taking off University Ave.

John Jennings is a Professor of Media and Cultural Studies at the University of California at Riverside. Jennings is co-editor of the Eisner Award-winning collection The Blacker the Ink: Constructions of Black Identity in Comics and Sequential Art. Jennings is also a 2016 Nasir Jones Hip Hop Studies Fellow with the Hutchins Center at Harvard University. Jennings’ current projects include the horror anthology Box of Bones, the coffee table book Black Comix Returns (with Damian Duffy), and the Eisner-winning, Bram Stoker Award-winning, New York Times best-selling graphic novel adaptation of Octavia Butler’s classic dark fantasy novel Kindred. Jennings is also founder and curator of the ABRAMS Megascope line of graphic novels.

Hallyu at UCR will be doing a panel on the behind the scenes of K-Pop as well as hosting their very own cafe! Also, catch their performance on the main stage!

Hallyu at UCR (aka Hallyucr) is a fun, diverse Korean Culture Club that is devoted to spreading the 'Hallyu wave' to students at UCR. The Hallyu Wave is the increase in popularity of South Korean culture, including K-pop, dramas, beauty, fashion, webcomics, and much more. We also have a dance team, Tartan Seoul, that holds K-pop workshops and performances. No dance experience needed!
