Mini Medical School at UCR

Mini Medical School at UCR MMS is a health education project created to serve the residents of the Inland empire by providing culturally relevant and medically correct information.

Our objective is two-fold: to reduce barriers in communication between health care recipients and providers and to empower IE residents and patients with knowledge that will help prevent and manage their diseases. With feedback and collaboration between several partners, MMS students work to effectively present culturally acceptable and medically correct information. The target audiences are paren

ts, families and community members. MMS presentations and workshops will be done at a fifth grade comprehension level in English (and eventually other
languages).
