Chicano Student Programs ¡Familia, Orgullo, y Corazón! Chicano Student Programs was founded at UCR in 1972.

Various student and faculty movements led to the creation of a department that would meet the needs of both Raza faculty and students on campus. Chicano students and faculty demanded a space that would nourish the growing population of first-generation scholars entering UCR. CSP was created as a safe space to celebrate our heritage, educate ourselves and others about our culture, stay involved wit

h our different communities and to advocate for educational necessities. CSP remains a central location for faculty, staff, students and community members to discuss issues pertaining to our Raza.

In addition, we invite you to our ¡Adelante! Success Series that takes place from 12pm-1pm at Hub 268! 📍
This series promotes academic success, persistence, retention, and also builds comunidad on campus. Join us TOMORROW, November 4th, for an academic advising panel and meet UCR academic advisors from multiple colleges! 💙💛

2024 Recap

We hope to see you all for our annual Dia de los Mu***os celebration recordando a nuestros antepasados on Wednesday, October 29th! Details below.

Día de los Mu***os Nooner at the Bell Tower (Wednesday, Oct 29th): Procession will begin at 11:30am in CSP led by Danza Azteca Teocalli Tepeyolot followed by a blessing of altares and a musical performance by Los Tranquilos! Student orgs will be selling food, shadow box frame decorating with and we have local vendors joining us: and Aztlan Crafts.

Everyone is welcome to contribute to the community altar. We look forward to celebrating, honoring and remembering loved ones in community!
