Meet Ryan Bell!

Ryan Anthony Bell is an education professional with over a decade of experience helping individuals move from education to employment—because for him, learning isn’t just about the classroom… it’s about changing lives. Ryan is passionate about workforce development and loves seeing people improve the quality of life for themselves and their families.

A proud William Fleming High School graduate, Ryan is also a double HBCU grad, earning degrees from Virginia Union University and Virginia State University.

Ryan got involved with the Roanoke Regional Chamber because (in his words) it looked like Chamber members were always having a good time — and clearly, it’s the place to be for business and industry. As an RRCC Ambassador, he’s proud to represent the community that raised him and be a welcoming face for others building connections in the region.

His professional superpower? Collaboration. Ryan loves bringing people together, making meaningful connections, and building partnerships that move the community forward. (It also gives him a serious boost of energy!)

Fun fact: Ryan once dreamed of becoming a veterinarian 🐾 — but these days, he stays plenty busy spending time with his wife and their five children.

Registration is open for OSHA 510: Occupational Safety & Health Standards for the Construction Industry. This safety training course will be hosted at the Roanoke Higher Education Center from September 28 - October 1, 2026. Offered by the Chesapeake Region Safety Council, OSHA 510 covers OSHA Standards, policies, and procedures in the construction industry.

The Roanoke Higher Education Center has a part time position available for an individual interested in working in our student library! The Library Clerk position will assist with circulating materials, reshelving books, opening and closing the library, and helping patrons.

We are excited to announce that Radford University has partnered with the Roanoke Higher Education Center (RHEC) to provide proctored testing services for Radford students at RHEC who have been approved for testing accommodations.

Students with accommodations may now complete exams at the RHEC Educational Testing Center, located in Room 413. Testing appointments are coordinated through Student Affairs- Roanoke after students submit their request through Access CAS and faculty approve the request.

Attention Radford University students at the RHEC! ⬇

Celebrate the start of the new semester with Student Affairs and the University Libraries! We will be at the Roanoke Higher Education Center (RHEC) Monday, August 31 from 12:00- 1:00pm for Welcome Back, RHEC in room 510E. We'll have stickers and giveaways, plus you can make your own badge reel.
