This week in Dr. Stacy Zousmer’s PT 7411 Educational Interventions in Physical Therapy Practice, PY1 students used their knowledge, experience, and creativity to develop and share quick-reference handouts for supporting patients with diverse abilities. Their presentations highlighted tools and tips to make healthcare more inclusive and patient-centered, with strategies for PTs to better communicate, teach, and connect with individuals and families affected by hearing & visual impairments, dyslexia, auditory processing disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and ADHD.
👏 Our future PTs are well-prepared to put accessible and inclusive care into practice!
