Today, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

This Memorial Day, Roberts Wesleyan University and Northeastern Seminary remember the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of those who served.

We are grateful for the freedoms we hold today and mindful of the cost at which they came.

May we live with gratitude, humility, and a deeper commitment to serving others well.

Melissa Maclean (Argenna), a current student and adjunct professor in the Roberts Wesleyan University MSW program, has released a new jazz piece, Nothing to Give (Psalm 51).

Rooted in a deeply personal season, the song reflects a time when Melissa felt she had little to offer God beyond her own brokenness, drawing on the words of Psalm 51:17. Her work blends the richness of jazz with the honesty of faith, creating space for reflection, surrender, and grace.

Melissa also holds an Advanced Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Northeastern Seminary, bringing together music, ministry, and formation in meaningful ways.

How do we follow Jesus in a world shaped by outrage, division, and distrust?

On Sunday, June 7, Northeastern Seminary welcomes Leonard Sweet for an evening exploring what it means to practice discipleship in a polarized culture.

Through storytelling, cultural insight, and practical application, Dr. Sweet will challenge leaders, pastors, and everyday Christians to move beyond “us vs. them” thinking and become the kind of people who bring healing, trust, and the presence of Christ into a fractured world.

Summer classes start today at Northeastern Seminary and we could not be more excited.

There’s something special about summer learning. New ideas. Deep conversations. Friendships forming across programs and cohorts.

And honestly? One of our favorite parts is residency week. We love seeing campus come alive as our students gather together from all over. There’s nothing quite like learning, worshiping, and growing side by side.

We’re cheering you on this summer and can’t wait to see all that you learn.

Honoring Our Past. Investing in Our Future.

For over 30 years, the vision and sacrifice of our founding faculty have shaped Northeastern Seminary. As some of the founders have entered retirement, we invite you to ensure their impact continues for generations to come.

The Founders Scholarship Endowment provides vital financial support to students called to transformative ministry. We already have $50,000 in place. Will you help us reach $100,000 to support students for years to come?

Reading Scripture in Wesleyan Ways
by Dr. David Carr & Brady Alan Beard

What does it really mean to read Scripture through a Wesleyan lens? Reading Scripture in Wesleyan Ways invites readers into that question with depth and clarity. This collection brings together scholars who explore how Wesleyans engage the Bible as both a theological foundation and a guide for faithful living in today’s world.

Moving beyond theory, the book offers practical examples of interpretation shaped by Wesleyan history, theology, and practice. It’s a thoughtful resource for pastors, students, and anyone seeking to understand how Scripture continues to speak into contemporary challenges. Notably, the volume includes contributions from Northeastern Seminary’s own Dr. David Carr, alongside a diverse group of respected scholars.

Seminary alum Lt. Col. Michelle Law-Gordon, Chaplain, recently covered African Lion 26, U.S. Africa Command’s largest annual joint exercise in Africa. Her work highlighted both the importance of spiritual readiness for service members and humanitarian medical missions strengthening partnerships between the U.S. and Morocco.

We’re proud to see our alum making an impact around the world!
