Congratulations to Ayanna Smith and Emi Knape, both second year Graphic Media Science and Technology students, who have been selected to receive prestigious scholarships from The Print and Graphic Scholarship Foundation (PGSF).

Ayanna was awarded the Time Inc. Scholarship and Emi received the Regis Delmontagne Scholarship. Both students were required to submit essays and faculty recommendations to receive their scholarships and were chosen from hundreds of applicants.

The Print and Graphic Scholarships Foundation is a non-profit organization that offers assistance to both undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing an education in the graphic communications field. Since 1956 they have organized the largest scholarship program for the printing and graphics industry. They award scholarships and fellowship programs on behalf of their donors, in order to support the future of the graphic communications industry.

On March 18, 2021, GMST BS student Dylan Hollender was among the RIT students recognized in a virtual ceremony honoring the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholar Award. An annual event celebrating the top 1% of RIT's undergraduate students, recipients have the opportunity to acknowledge a past teacher or professor who has had a significant impact on their academic career. Dylan chose Nadia Salzer of Saint Joseph High School in Metuchen, NJ to share in this prestigious recognition. Congratulations, Dylan, on this well-deserved award.

Next week, RIT will be hosting a discussion with printing industry professionals from Image Test Labs regarding a significant achievement. These scientists have made it possible to match image quality and exceed the consistency of traditional offset lithography in the digital world of web-fed inkjet printing.

Join us for an open discussion to learn more about this breakthrough at 6pm on February 13th, 2020. This free event will take place at the University Gallery in RIT’s James E. Booth Hall, Room 2765. All printing and imaging professionals, scientists, faculty and students are welcome to attend.
