WiCHacks at RIT WiCHacks is a 24-hour hackathon for women and gender minorities that is hosted at Rochester Institute of Technology Don’t have a team in mind?

-Do you want to have fun and try something new? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, join RIT Women in Computing at WiCHacks at RIT! About WiCHacks:

A hackathon is a collaborative pro

gramming event in which participants create an app, website, game, or other piece of software over the course of the event. Hackathon participants can be female college (including non-RIT) or high school students who are at least 16 years of age. This event is open to women and gender minorities of all skill levels: those who haven’t programmed at all, women and gender minorities who have done some programming, and the best women and gender minority programmers out there. It will be a great day to learn, invent, and create the future. No worries -- RIT Women in Computing will be hosting a series of events (including one on the morning of the event) to facilitate team formation. All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks) will be provided, and participation is free.

Hey Hackers! Our team is super excited to welcome you all this weekend! Just some reminders before you begin arriving on Saturday!

Sign in begins at 10:00AM in the RIT SHED.
Be sure to have your student ID with you!

The full schedule can be found at wichacks.io and here on our Instagram, we’ll have it all posted tomorrow!

Parking is available to all campus visitors for free after 5pm on Friday. We recommend Parkling Lot U which is closest to the SHED.

Our Discord Server will be the main source of communication with us during the event.
The link will be sent to all accepted hackers and we’ll have a QR code for you to scan at sign in.

Be sure to pack a reusable water bottle as
RIT is a sustainable campus and we will not have plastic ones available for you.

We are so excited to announce this year’s keynote speaker!

Dominique Molee is an Associate Software Engineer on the Emerging Technologies team in Disney Experiences based in Orlando, FL. She joined Disney after graduating from RIT with a B.S. in Computing and Information Technologies in 2022.

During her time at RIT, she was involved in both the Women in Computing and WiCHacks organizations. Outside of work, Dominique enjoys hiking, travelling, and baking in her free time. She is excited to meet everyone at the WiCHacks 2025!
