Join us Thursday, April 23, from 7:00–8:30 p.m. for an evening with RIT/NTID alum and internationally recognized artist Christine Sun Kim, part of NTID’s Edmund Lyon Memorial Lectureship Series at the RIT Performing Arts Center.
Kim, an American artist based in Berlin, explores how sound operates in society, examining the politics of sound and how spoken and signed languages function as social currency. Working across drawing, performance, video, and large-scale murals, her work reflects language, environment, and lived experience.
Her work has been featured internationally, including the Whitney Museum of American Art (2025), Gwangju Biennale (2023), Secession Vienna (2023), Queens Museum (2022), the Drawing Center (2022), Museum für Moderne Kunst (2021), and Manchester International Festival.
Admission is free and open to the public; registration is required. Interpreting services have been requested.
