Did you know? Before the orange era… blue and grey ruled RIT
Ever find a piece of history that captures a moment of total transformation? This early 1960s RIT Tiger Pennant is exactly that. It’s a physical relic from a fascinating "in-between" era in the university's branding history. While RIT students voted to adopt the Tigers nickname in 1957, the university didn't officially ditch its original colors, Blue and Grey, until 1964. This pennant represents the specific seven-year window when the new mascot and the old colors coexisted.
