Winthrop University Beta Beta Beta Beta Beta Beta PSI Chapter at Winthrop University TriBeta was founded in 1922 and became a nationally recognized organization in 1925.

Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society, commonly known as TriBeta, is a society dedicated to the enhancement of biological study and extending boundaries of the human intelligence through scientific research. TriBeta's activities are designed to stimulate interest, scholarly attainment, and investigation in the biological sciences, and to promote the dissemination of information and new

interpretations among students of the life sciences. The Psi Chapter, installed in 1929, is Winthrop University's local chapter of the TriBeta National Biological Honor Society. Winthrop's local TriBeta chapter schedules fundraisers, hosts events, invites speakers, and goes on trips every semester. Past speakers have included Army representatives, and past trips have included the Lazy 5 Ranch, Riverbanks Zoo, Crowders Mountain, and Discovery Place. Members and nonmembers are welcome to attend TriBeta meetings, which are held in Dalton 136, the Botany room.

General information

Anyone with interest in the biological sciences may become an associate member of TriBeta. All full members must meet the following requirements: -Have completed Biology 300 -Overall GPA of 2.5 -Biology GPA of 3.0
