RVC Engineering and Technology Students Past and Present by Prof. Tom Clark

RVC Engineering and Technology Students Past and Present by Prof. Tom Clark This group is founded based on the need to collect and disseminate information from and to students I have known through courses at RVC. What do you think?

Please invite other students that have taken courses in the areas of Manufacturing, Design, CAD, Quality and Engineering. The goal will be to share job opportunities and to also allow past and present students to lend feedback so that I may improve our offerings in the Engineering and Manufacturing courses, degrees, and certificates. Maybe a reunion or two could be planned through this group as well!

THIS from GE Aviation:
Here are the main job duties of the two coops needed in the Quality department (EHS would be specific around safety and environmental).

1. TIP QA coop

a. Support implementation of new quality software

b. Integrate site quality software from concept to practice

c. Increase FTY results tracking for production hardware

d. Reduce process time on production floor

2. Supplier Quality coop

a. Implementation of new procedures for the Supplier Quality discipline to help improve and drive clear directions to each supplier in our local site. These procedures are driven by both sites and systems group requirement. Expectations are that each site policies and procedure will eventually roll-up into one common systems group procedural objective.

b. Work within our local and group Approval Supplier List to identified potential suppliers that can be targeted for further development and training to self-sustain they integrality for direct ship to stock. This entailed pealing and detail understanding of each supplier records from our database to help ensure the right suppliers are chosen.

c. Work with our current and new supply base to gather information for cross pollination and population of records that are significant to the development of each supplier. This will help with direct communication and sharing of information through our database to each supplier.

These are the main points and we’ll be targeting a pay range from $14 to $17 depending on experience. Let me know if you need anything else from us or if it would help to come and speak with some of the classes.
