Community impact, teamwork, and a whole lot of heart. 💙
Our Fort Lauderdale students spent the day volunteering with Feeding South Florida — helping provide more than 4,000 meals to families in the community.
This was one of our biggest volunteer groups yet, and the best part? They’ll be back all summer long. 🙌
At CLE, building independence also means building connection, purpose, and a commitment to showing up for others. Proud of these students for putting that into action.

Our San Diego students explored the San Elijo Nature Center alongside park rangers who shared fun facts about local wildlife, rescued animals, and protected habitats.
From community engagement and social connection to movement and environmental learning, outings like these help students build confidence and independence in meaningful, natural ways. 💚

Volunteering = real-world learning in action.

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible ways our students show up in their communities—and what they gain in return.

Through volunteer experiences, CLE students are:

✨ Practicing communication with new people
✨ Learning how to navigate expectations in workplace-like settings
✨ Building stamina, accountability, and follow-through
✨ Gaining confidence in unfamiliar environments

These aren’t just “nice-to-have” skills—they’re essential for long-term success in employment and independent living.
