Historic moment for Viking Nation! đŸ’™

Today at the Founders Day Convocation, Chancellor S. Keith Hargrove Sr. announced that Elizabeth City State University has received a transformational $42 million gift from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott.

This investment will support scholarships, innovative academic programs, and critical campus infrastructure as ECSU advances its five-year strategic plan, ASCEND 2030—strengthening our mission to educate, empower, and elevate students.

As we celebrate 135 years of excellence, this moment marks a powerful step toward an even brighter future for our students and community.
