Missouri S&T Student Veterans Association To provide our military service members and veterans with the resources, support, and advocacy needed
(2)

Student Veterans of America (SVA) is a national organization (see http://studentveterans.org/) and we are a new campus chapter at S&T. Our mission is to welcome veterans and military - to include ROTC cadets - to the university in order to ease and support the personal transitions between military and civilian life. We are a 'build the organization as we go along' -- 'solve issues as they come up' -- and 'help the campus do a terrific job of being veteran & military friendly' team.

S&T supported the work of SVA and the campus service members by funding the SVRC as a campus office, and by providing staff to run it. A location was off campus, ground floor, of the Baptist Student Union on 610 W. 10th Street.

After many meetings, lots of hard work, late-night sessions, and some luck, the center opened its doors early in the spring semester 2016. The best is still to come...
