MVCC Airframe and Powerplant

MVCC Airframe and Powerplant One Year FAA approved Airframe and Powerplant Certificate Program. There are three enrollment starting points each year, January, May, and August.

Mohawk Valley Community College offers an FAA (Federal Aviation Administration)-approved Airframe & Powerplant [A&P] aircraft maintenance training program at Griffiss International Airport KRME) in Rome, NY. The MVCC A&P Certificate is a 1,905-hour program which runs for three consecutive semesters for a total of only 12 calendar months. Classes are limited to 24 students each. An Associate Degree

in Applied Science, Aviation Maintenance, is also available requiring two additional semesters. Graduates of this program with the certificate or with the degree, are certified to maintain all types of aircraft including Commercial airliners, business jets, helicopters, private general aviation aircraft, and military aircraft. Jobs are in great demand locally in NYS, and all over the rest of the country. This is a great opportunity for anyone with an interest in pursuing a technical and very rewarding career. The MVCC aviation maintenance training [A&P] program is one of the most affordable programs of its kind. The complete program including the student Snap-On tool set, books, and all FAA test fees is currently priced at under $16K.
