From classroom leader to future educator, we'd like to highlight the accomplishments of Gwen Pasowicz as she graduates with a degree in Combined Special and Elementary Education from the College of Education and Social Sciences.
Throughout her time at , Gwen dedicated herself to creating inclusive and welcoming spaces for others while preparing to make a meaningful impact in the field of special education. Through coursework, field experiences, and leadership opportunities, she developed a passion for supporting diverse learners, advocating for equity, and ensuring every student feels valued and capable of success.
Gwen’s commitment to service and leadership could be seen across campus as she served as President of both Best Buddies and Aspiring Educators. In these roles, she helped foster meaningful connections, support future educators, and build communities centered on belonging and inclusion. Her experiences strengthened her communication, collaboration, and organizational skills while deepening her dedication to helping others thrive.
Following graduation, Gwen will begin her career as a self-contained special education teacher at Manor Hill Elementary School, where she plans to create an inclusive classroom environment that empowers every student to learn, grow, and succeed.
