Who are we?
Lewis University is a mid-sized, liberal arts institution situated on a picturesque 410-acre campus in Romeoville, IL. There are 227 full time faculty at the University which allows for a student to faculty ratio of 13:1. Lewis University has 6,500 undergraduate and graduate students who attend classes at our campuses with more than 1,200 students living in 11 dorms situated on the campus in Romeoville. Enriched by a diverse student population, Lewis offers over 80 undergraduate majors and 37 graduate programs - 2 of which are doctoral. The Biology department has close to 400 majors and minors and offers a wide array of options for our students. These include doctoral partnerships in Osteopathic Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Podiatry, and Chiropractic - some with an accelerated option. We also offer many options in Allied Health including accelerated Master’s degrees (Respiratory Care, Cardiac Perfusion, and Medical Laboratory Sciences) as well as Bachelor degree options in Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, Vascular Ultrasound, and Diagnostic Medical Sonography. If you are interested in a career in Environmental Studies, Lewis University has two tracks available - Sustainability and Ecology. Research projects are available for all undergraduate students with summer options for students who wish to continue their work year-round. Finally, Lewis University is also proud to offer the Noyce Fellowship for students in the Natural Sciences who pursue careers in Secondary Education.
