📣 Special Message for Oxford and Franklin County UMA Students

Good morning!

As many of you know, UMA closed our Rumford Center this summer. We want to remind students living in Oxford and Franklin counties that you can now access support and services through the UMA Lewiston Center.

Our Lewiston Center offers:

• Test proctoring
• Study spaces
• Computer and internet access
• In-person classes
• A place to Zoom into your live online classes
• Student support services

Our staff is here to help, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions or need assistance during the semester.

Here is a sneak peak at our new nursing lab at the UMA Lewiston Center. We will actually have two nursing labs in the fall to support our BSN in Nursing program in Lewiston! Fall registration is currently open and we have some great in-person classes at UMA in Lewiston! If you are tired of only taking online classes and would like to take one in-person with the instructor and other students in the room with you, these are some great options. We even have a 4-credit lab science class available!

Message to UMA students regarding the UMA Rumford Center:

Good morning,

As we come to the close of the spring semester, we are also beginning the process of closing the Rumford Center. While staff will still be physically present at the Center for the next few weeks, our hours and availability will be limited as we begin removing technology, furniture, and other materials from the facility. Please note that we will not be proctoring exams during the summer semester.

Going forward, UMA students in Oxford and Franklin counties will receive support services through the UMA Lewiston Center. Students in the Biology and MLT programs who are currently assigned to Roz Hodge will continue to receive remote advising support from her. All other students previously assigned to Roz have been reassigned to Jennifer Gamez at the Lewiston Center. If unsure of who your advisor is, you will find your advisor listed in your MaineStreet Student Center.
