📚💚 106 BOOKS DONATED! 💛📚
The ATU Student Nurses Association, nursing students, and faculty collected 106 board books for donation to Conway Regional Health System NICU!
These books will give parents another meaningful way to bond with their babies by reading aloud at the bedside—when opportunities for holding and physical contact may be limited.
The project was organized by faculty member Dr. Shaana Escobar and Level 4 senior nursing student Alivia Freeman.

Thank you to every student and faculty member who donated and helped make this project possible!💚💛

The Department of Nursing is now accepting applications for spring 2027 admission into the prelicensure, traditional (on campus) LPN to BSN and online RN to BSN programs.

Current ATU students can access the application in Blackboard. Applicants not currently attending ATU should contact the Department of Nursing.

💚Dr. Susan Self Memorial Scholarship💛

"She taught us far more about what it means to be a nurse than any textbook ever could."

Colleagues, friends and students of the late Dr. Susan Self have established a scholarship for Arkansas Tech University nursing students in her memory.

The Dr. Susan Self Memorial Scholarship will be offered through the ATU Foundation.

Dr. Self began her association with the ATU Department of Nursing in 2008 as an adjunct clinical instructor. She became a full-time member of the ATU Department of Nursing faculty in 2012 and attained the rank of associate professor of nursing before stepping down for health reasons in 2025. She passed away on Jan. 12, 2026.
