Due to the condition of the roads on campus and in the surrounding areas, Arkansas Tech University campuses in Russellville and Ozark will operate virtually on Tuesday, Jan. 27, in order to provide for the safety of students, faculty and staff.

Students should check Blackboard and e-mail for assignments and other information from their faculty members.

Essential in-person operations, including food service, public safety and facilities management, will remain available in order to serve residential students on the Russellville campus.

Other staff members on the ATU campuses in Russellville and Ozark as well as at Arkansas Tech Career Center will be available remotely.

The National Weather Service has notified the public that severe thunderstorms are likely in Arkansas during the late afternoon and evening hours on Monday, May 19.

The advisory indicates the region including the Arkansas Tech University campuses in Russellville and Ozark is under an enhanced risk for severe weather. Damaging straight-line winds, large hail, flash flooding and isolated tornadoes are among the threats with this system.
