🌳✨ Calling all young nature explorers! ✨🌳

On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 8:30–11:30 AM, Louisiana Tech Forestry will host its annual “Trees & Me” workshop at Lomax Hall on South Campus! This FREE workshop is designed for rising kindergartners through rising 3rd graders and gives children a fun, hands-on opportunity to learn about trees, forests, and the important role they play in our lives alongside Louisiana Tech Forestry faculty and students.

Kids will enjoy engaging activities from Project Learning Tree, including:
🌱 Tree cookies
🌳 My Life as a Tree
🍃 Tree lifecycle
🌲 Every Tree for Itself
📚 Trees for Many Reasons
💚 Reading and discussing *The Lorax*
🖍️ Leaf rubbings

Louisiana Tech’s 53rd Annual Farm Production Sale brought together students, alumni, producers, FFA chapters, and community supporters to invest in the future of agriculture. Over $176,000 raised 🤠💙 with more than $44,000 going directly toward student scholarships and the remaining to benefit hands-on learning at Tech Farm and our livestock unit!

This year’s sale also helped provide thousands of servings of beef to the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana thanks to Century Next and Louisiana Land Bank! What a great day on Tech Farm 💙

HIIM students and faculty recently had the opportunity to visit Cook Children’s Health System for an inside look at the many moving parts of healthcare and Health Information Management. They toured clinical areas, explored the IT and operations side of patient care, and learned more about EHR workflows, compliance, and the important role communication plays in supporting quality healthcare. Representing Louisiana Tech on a national stage 👏💙❤️

This past April, six students from Louisiana Tech University’s Doctor of Audiology program presented their research at the 2026 American Academy of Audiology Annual Convention in San Antonio, Texas. From poster presentations to an oral presentation, these students showcased the innovation, dedication, and excellence within the College of Applied and Natural Sciences. We are so proud of the hard work they put into advancing the field of audiology!

Louisiana Tech Nursing students had the opportunity to serve as caregivers and companions at the Heroes with Heart Retreat alongside MedCamps of Louisiana. Through hands-on experiences, compassion, and connection, students gained invaluable pediatric clinical experience while helping create unforgettable memories for campers and their families.

We’re kicking off National Speech-Language-Hearing Month by reflecting on a recent reception hosted by our School of Communication Science and Disorders 🎉

Thanks to a generous grant from the Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund, the Speech Center received new clinical training technology. This exciting upgrade is enhancing hands-on student learning while elevating the level of care we provide to our patients.
