On Monday, we celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We had an engaging and educational panel discussion around the national theme “Mission Possible: Protecting Freedom, Justice, and Democracy in the Spirit of Nonviolence365”.

Thank you to our wonderful panelist & moderator for their time & service. Thank you to for the wonderful meal. Most importantly, thank you to our students, faculty/staff, community, & young alumni who attended as well.

Over the last 4 days, 27 of our top BCC scholars attended the 36th Southwestern Black Student Leadership Conference at Texas A&M in College Station, TX.

“The conference presents a number of creative workshops that focus on related topics and develop strong leadership skills. SBSLC is dedicated to addressing and developing solutions to major issues as well as bringing a spirit of unity among students and leaders of all levels. “ - SBSLC

Louisiana Tech has been attending this conference for over 20 years & look forward to many more. Thank you once again to the wonderful leadership & hospitality of the team.

The Bulldog Cultural Center and the Office of Inclusion Initiatives invites our Louisiana Tech and Lincoln Parish community to join us for a wonderful time reflecting on the life and legacy of Dr. King. We will celebrate Martin Luther King with a program from Noon to 2 p.m. Monday, January 20th, 2025 in the Davison Athletic Complex.

The theme for the event will be “Mission Possible: Protecting Freedom, Justice, and Democracy in the Spirit of Nonviolence365” with our amazing panel, a tribute to Dr. King, performances by the Sanctified Voices Choir, and soul-food lunch.

Last Tuesday, we hosted our annual Holiday Celebration. Students were able to get a taste of foods across 4 different cultures and holidays. Thank you to for such a variety of foods from these different cultures!
