The College of Liberal Arts and the Waggoner Center are happy to welcome filmmaker Chad Freidrichs to the Louisiana Tech University campus. He will present his 2011 award-winning film, The Pruitt-Igoe Myth, and lead a discussion following the screening. This film serves as the first we will present this academic year that discusses the political/social/design challenges and opportunities of our cities and the places where we live our lives. In CoLA we strive to foster cross-discipline learning environments that allow students to explore opportunities outside their programs. This past week Theatre and Technical Writing professors collaborated to teach students about usability and the ways in which their disciplines are mutually beneficial to one another.

Ask your professors about opportunities like this in your discipline!
