.basicneeds Funds donated to the Los Rios Colleges Fund or campus-based
Cares Programs can be used to provide a hotel stay, allowing a student who is facing homelessness to have a safe place to stay while accessing other resources.
To be eligible to apply for the emergency hotel program, the student must be:
enrolled and attending in current semester application is being submitted and in a minimum of six units at any one of our four campuses (American River, Cosumnes River, Folsom Lake, Sacramento City) in good standing. If you are not currently enrolled and attending in the current semester your application with automatically be denied. making satisfactory academic progress facing an emergency situation
The student is limited to one emergency hotel stay per academic year, district-wide.

Food Distribution is bimonthly (twice a month on Thursday), held in front of the College Store.
Here are our future distribution days for Fall 2023:

September 21

Sign-Up Required
Sign up to receive a fresh produce box with items like lettuce, carrots, potatoes, apples, and other seasonal fruits and vegetables. Some distributions include dry goods boxes and gift cards.
You must sign up for each distribution date. Our Food Distribution is not a one-time registration/sign-up.

If you are on a limited income and are struggling to buy the healthy foods that you need, then Calfresh may be able to help! Plus, CalFresh benefits do not impact your financial aid, and you do not need vour parents' tax return information to apply.
