In April, our wonderful University Chorale was honored to perform with Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera. The program “Love and Death” featured conductor Melisse Brunet, and the combined choruses sang Faurè’s “Requiem,” a major staple of choral canon.

Tonight, tonight! The Wind Ensemble performs their final concert of the 2025-2026 school year. Under the direction of Dr. Matthew Morse, they will perform Electrons Dancing" by Anthony O'Toole,
"L'histoire de la Nouvelle-Orléans" by Alan Theisen,
"Symphonic Dances from West Side Story" by Leonard Bernstein, and
"Fanfare for an Angel" by James M. Stephenson.

Join us next week, Thursday May 14th, for an afternoon at our School of Music Research Symposium! Featuring Music History research posters with four themes from the Anthems class: Haydn's Kaiserlied, "The Star Spangled Banner," "Lift Every Voice and Sing," and Woody Guthrie's "This Land is Your Land." 

This exciting event will include live musical performances and free refreshments.
