Welcome to where the courtroom and the classroom collide, where you will learn from distinguished trial lawyers and judges who bring into the classroom what many law schools lack — real-world experience. So, in addition to legal theory and case studies, you will get a firsthand glimpse of the constantly evolving legal profession in which our faculty live every day. We pride ourselves in having one of the top bar passage rates for California State Bar accredited law schools. The mission of Lincoln Law School of Sacramento is to provide an excellent legal education at an affordable cost to qualified applicants. By selecting students based on the total person, with emphasis on life experience, Lincoln Law School aims to provide educational opportunities to a diverse student population. Through an affordable, four-year program, the school strives to meet the special needs of students who may be raising families, working full time, or preparing for a second career. Our graduates include more than 10 California Superior Court Judges. In addition to the California Superior Court Judges, our graduates include the Sacramento County District Attorney, Sacramento County Sheriff, and the General Counsel to the California Highway Patrol – a sure sign that students who graduate from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento are well prepared to pass the California State Bar Exam and begin their careers practicing law in California and aspiring to new heights. In recognition of the integrity of our educational program, the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California granted Lincoln Law School of Sacramento accreditation in 1978. To become accredited, a law school must establish that its paramount objective is to provide a sound legal education.

On Monday night, Lincoln Law School’s Asian Pacific American Law Students Association hosted “A Conversation with Sacramento County District Attorney Thien Ho.”

District Attorney Ho spoke with our students about public service, leadership, and the criminal justice system, and about what it takes to make a real impact in the community you serve. It was an engaging and inspiring conversation, and he gave students an inside look at some of the cases that shaped his career, including his work on the Golden State Killer prosecution.

Lincoln Law School faculty gathered in Santa Cruz for our annual faculty conference, and it was a good reminder of what makes this place special: the people!

We spent the weekend together talking about where our school is headed, sharing program updates, and swapping ideas on how to keep giving our students the best possible legal education.

Plenty of good conversation, a few ocean views, and a lot of shared commitment to the students who make it all worthwhile 🌊

On Saturday night, friends, colleagues, alumni, and former students gathered in East Sacramento to honor Professor Linda Parisi on her retirement from Lincoln Law School.

Linda is a Lincoln Law School graduate herself and went on to build a career as one of Sacramento’s most respected criminal defense trial attorneys. For years she brought that courtroom experience into our classrooms, teaching Criminal Procedure and Advanced Criminal Procedure to generation after generation of Lincoln students.

Fellow alumni Chris Wood put it best: “It was an intimate and warm gathering of what I felt was family.” The speeches from Rob Gold and Jim Smolich captured what so many of us already knew. Linda has given her time, her talent, and her heart to this school and its students, and she never asked for anything in return.

Thank you to Chris and Amy Wood for opening their beautiful home for this event, and to the Lincoln Law School Alumni Association for helping plan a night worthy of a true titan of the Sacramento legal community.

A special thank you to Shannon Young, who went above and beyond. She created photo boards tracing Linda’s career, presented her with a (very sparkly) award ✨, and gave a speech that honored just how wonderful Linda has always been with Lincoln Law School and our students.

Linda, thank you for everything. You’ll always have a special place here at Lincoln. 💙

Since 1969, Lincoln Law School has been a place for people who want to become lawyers without putting the rest of their lives on hold.

Currently, 364 students are enrolled in our JD program. The youngest is 18 and the oldest is 62, with a median age of 31.

65.7% are women, and 63.7% are racially and ethnically diverse. Many are coming to law school after building a career somewhere else, and they bring that experience into the classroom with them. 🎓

We offer two ways to get through the program. The Hybrid Pathway is 75% online and on your own time, with 25% in person. 💻 The Onsite Pathway meets three evenings a week, from 6:30 to 9:15 p.m., so you can keep your day job. 🌙

Our 33 faculty members include practicing attorneys and 15 judicial officers. Students are learning from people who see how the law actually works in California courtrooms every day. ⚖️

In terms of costs, tuition and fees at Lincoln Law School are $20,250 a year, compared with $64,420 at a full-time California ABA law school. That is 68% less. 💡

The results speak for themselves. More than 1,300 Lincoln Law School graduates have been admitted to the California State Bar, and our five-year cumulative bar passage rate is 81.4%. 🏛️

🐾 PAW AND ORDER 🐾

Last week, Capital Therapy Dogs brought their teams to Lincoln Law School, and the entire building went from stressed to paw-sitive! 🐶✨

Our students got a much needed recess from briefs, outlines, and cold calls. 📚 The dogs raised no objections. 🐕‍🦺⚖️

Ten out of ten. Would pet again.

Thank you to Capital Therapy Dogs and every volunteer handler who came out to fur-ther the cause of student wellness. 💛 Please come back during finals. 🙏🐩

Last night our campus was full for our third annual job fair 🎉20 employers came out and spent the evening talking with our students.
