Just a reminder that the MSP Tour is TOMORROW, Thursday the 25th. Extra credit available for attendees in Dr Johnson's classes, so meet by the West doors of Headley Hall at 8 AM tomorrow for a great time!

Also, tomorrow's AAAE meeting will be in HH #112 at 5 PM.

We have rescheduled the MSP Tour to this Thursday, April 25th! This event is always a great experience, especially to those who have not attended before. We will tour the MAC Drivers Training Center, the MAC Field Maintenance Center, MSP Airside Ops Center, as well as a tour of one of the ARFF stations; not to mention the chance to drive around airport property and get an up close view of planes. We really hope that you choose to attend, as this may be the last chance we have to do an MSP tour!

What: MSP Airport Tour

When: Thursday, April 25th. Meet at 8AM sharp, leaving by 8:15 AM. Tour begins at 10 AM. Back in St Cloud approximately 3PM.

Where: Meet on the west side of Headley Hall (Parking Lot)



Also, the same day (Thursday April 25th) we will have our last AAAE meeting of the semester. Come to get information on our FOD walk, as well as elections for the board for next year. Please plan on attending! It will be in HH 230 at 5 PM!

Attention members, we still have one open position to attend the AAAE Conference. We would leave Saturday, May 18th and return Thursday, May 23nd. It is a great networking opportunity! The website for the conference is here: http://events.aaae.org/sites/130501/

Mark your calendars! On Wednesday, March 6th from 4-8 PM, St Cloud State AAAE will be hosting a fundraiser at Five Guys Burgers and Fries in Waite Park! 10% of all proceeds during that time will be donated to our organization, funds that will likely go toward sending members to the annual conference in May. See you there!

According to sources, the American/US Airways merger is almost final. The 'new' American Airlines will have 900 planes, 3,200 daily flights and about 95,000 employees, not counting regional affiliates.

The deal has been in the works since August, when creditors forced American to consider a merger rather than remain independent.

Spring semester is here, hope everyone is off to a good start! Here are a few quick announcements:

The aviation apparel order is going to be run again in case anyone missed the deadline last semester. The website is "rambow.com" and the store code is "aviation". The new deadline is Thursday, February 14th.

We still are looking at attending the AAAE Annual Conference in May, but due to the high price of airline tickets we may not be able to take more than 3 people. This is of course dependent on the amount of funding we can get from student government. Priority will be given to board members, and we will announce if there is an open spot available.

The tentative date for our first meeting of the year is Thursday, January 31st. We will update you soon!
