Greetings, Alumni and Friends of the Human Performance Lab!

We’re thrilled to share some of the exciting research happening in the lab this year!

In the fall, two of our talented undergraduate students conducted a study examining the effects of different bicep curl variations on muscle hypertrophy. This groundbreaking work will be submitted for publication and showcased at the Northland ACSM Conference this April.

This semester, we are collaborating with our Strength & Conditioning team and the Men’s Soccer program to explore the impact of a neuromuscular stimulation device on recovery and the retention of warm-up benefits. We look forward to submitting this research for publication and presenting it at an academic conference in the near future.

Thank you for your continued support and interest in the work we do. Stay tuned for more updates from the Human Performance Lab!

Mike Schultz is the newest Paralympic Medalist to have come through the lab for testing and training recommendations. His poster still hangs on the wall (I think 🤔). Congrats to Team Monster Mike!

Kimball native, and current St. Cloud resident, Mike Schultz has won gold. Schultz won the men's LL1 competition Sunday night at the Paralympics being held in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
