✨Faculty Spotlight✨ Meet Dr. Megonigal! This is Dr. Megonigal’s 4th year [back] at Eastern (yup, she’s an alum of the math department herself)! Dr. Megonigal teaches the first-semester Computer and Data Science courses along with other Data Science courses in the major. She also serves as the program director for undergraduate Data Science, so if you’re interested in majoring or minoring in Data Science, stop by her office (McInnis 221) with any questions or to introduce yourself!

✨Faculty Spotlight✨ Meet Dr. McLallen! She has also been working at Eastern for 25 years (that’s right, her and Dr. Huddell started together back in 2000). Dr. McLallen teaches a variety of math classes from Discrete Math and Calculus 2 to Abstract Algebra with a bunch of electives in between. She also advises math and math education majors. Feel free to stop by her office at the end of the Math Hallway to say hi!

✨Faculty Spotlight✨ Meet Dr. Huddell! This is Dr. Huddell’s 25th year at Eastern. He teaches math courses ranging from Calculus 1 all the way up to Real Analysis. Dr. Huddell also serves as the program director for the Math Major and for the Engineering Program in partnership with Villanova. Thinking about majoring in Math or Engineering? Meet Dr. Longo, our Assistant Dean of the School of Mathematics and Computational Sciences! Now in his 6th year at Eastern, Dr. Longo’s journey to data science began with his passion for sports data. Before joining us, he taught psychology in Alabama. When he’s not overseeing the school or creating courses for our Master’s programs, you’ll find him enjoying quality time with his wife, two daughters, and their two dogs.
