Our last founder we are featuring is Jordan (Mama Jay) Alford. She was the founding Artistic Director / Coach. She graduated Spring 2020 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Communication & Journalism with Minors in Dance & Entrepreneurship. Since graduating, Jordan was the Media Content Director for “Mastering College to Career,” B2B Podcast Producer at “Sweet Fish Media,” and continues her passion for dance through her business “Jordan Danielle Choreography.”

Jordan’s reason for starting our organization is because “My number one reason was to provide people with diverse backgrounds the opportunity to perform and express themselves through dance. Even if they didn’t have the technical skills to make the main school’s team.”

We are so appreciative of all the hard work and dedication you put into our team. Thank you for having the courage to usher a new culture on our campus. Much love and success 💛🖤

The next founder we are featuring is Eugenia Wallace. She was a 2019 graduate and the first black female commencement speaker. After graduation Wallace worked for the 2nd largest global corporate law firm in the world. Among her legal profession she owns and run two businesses. One a non profit helping students find scholarships for college, and the other, Female Force Association, Inc.] where she helps female entrepreneurs build business and connections.
Currently, Wallace attends Washington University School of Law in St.Louis, Missouri obtaining both her masters and Juris Doctorate degree.

Her reason for starting our organization is because “I helped start our organization for the love and passion for dance. To operate in a manner that hadn’t been displayed yet, with passion, style, and excellence. With all of the founders, there was a mission and a vision to execute, and I’m honored to have done my part in something that changed the culture of Missouri Western State University. Mama Jay, STEP DADDY, MS.Bolden, and EAZY -E ✨Name a better group ?!? MWDC give it to em🖤💛”

We know a business women when we see one and that has E’s name ALL over it! We appreciate all you have done for our organization. You’re doing amazing thing. Keep going and striving! We love you💛

If any of our followers want to get in contact with her nonprofit follow Female Force Association, Inc.] to get more information!!!

Our next founder we are featuring is Trasean (Step-Daddy) Stepney. He is the Co-Founder/Step Choreographer/Media Manager. He graduated summer 2020 with his Bachelor’s degree in Convergent Journalism. After Graduating, Trasean became a Media/Podcast Producer for “Mastering College Career” and is currently an Assistant Social Media Coordinator for The LA production company, Wondros. He is preparing to start his own step team for intercity youth within the next two years.

The reason he wanted to start our Dance Company is because “Once Jordan and Jashira presented their goal to express the diversity of the campus through dance, I knew I had to be part of it. At the end of the day, MWDC was an organization founded by people from all walks of life, for all walks of life. Stepping was my passion and I wanted others that had that same connection with the art to have a chance to express it no matter who they were.”

We are so thankful for everything Trasean has done for our company with his time here on and off campus. He is super talented from stepping to media. Much love to our founder💛🖤

Today we are featuring one of our founders Jashira Bolden. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jauwayllyn and Shirzell Bolden. She is a newly graduated political scientist, International Pageant Queen, social justice activist, and an all around leader. Currently Jashira is enjoying the post college life and working on her personal hobbies.

The reason Jashira wanted to start our Dance Company is because “Coming from a community where dance is seen as a ray of sunshine in a darkened tunnel , I have always viewed it as a mustard seed of hope. Dance is more than a hobby, it is an opportunity to break free mentally, physically, and emotionally. Just simply experiencing those two minutes on the floor can implement a lifetime of change. My dream when entering the doors of Missouri Western State University was to ensure that I could continue breaking free and ultimately share that feeling with others. That dream transpired when I met Jordan Alford, Trasean Stepney, and Eugenia Wallace. Our energy and willingness to succeed together gave me confirmation that it was to time to share our passion, style, and excellence! I started this organization with the purpose to encourage others to find themselves and showcase it through dance; and I did it. God had a plan and I’m honored that he allowed me to be apart of it.”

We are so thankful for all she has done for our company and sending her all the positive vibes on her new journey after graduating💛🖤
