Congratulations, Saint Leo Softball! Our Lions won the World Series opener, defeating St. Thomas Aquinas 4-2. Saint Leo will play next tomorrow, Friday, May 29 at 12 p.m.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The top-ranked and top-seeded Saint Leo softball team opened the World Series on Thursday with a 4-2 victory over eighth-seeded St. Thomas Aquinas, in the process, the Lions ended a 23-game winning streak for the Spartans.

And they’re off!

Our Saint Leo University Lions Softball team departed today for the NCAA Division II Softball World Series in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The Lions enter the national championship series as the No. 1 seed and will open tournament play against No. 8 seed St. Thomas Aquinas on Thursday, May 28, at 11 a.m. at Frost Stadium in Warner Park.

Let’s go, Lions!
