Big thanks go out to everyone who came out to the softball double header to cheer on the Scots and celebrate the M Club’s fan appreciation Spring Sports Day! Also big thanks to SAAC for the donut holes added to the M Club smorgasbord! What a treat!

Class of '76 M Clubbers: If you are looking for that great tax deduction before next Thursday now is the time to make your generous Class Gift to Macalester! Of course we have set some courageous goals in this regard but more importantly your gift benefits ALL students at Macalester. Every gift is apprecated but in this case BIGGER IS BETTER! However we are looking for our Class Gift to not only make our goals, but surpass them.

As you make your gift consider other planned giving options like becoming a sustaining gift giver with an amount that automatically goes to the Macalester Fund each month. Or you can include Macalester in your will. You may also give the gift of common stock. How about a gift from a portion of an IRA account (with no withdrawal penalty!)? Lastly you must ask yourself a couple of questions: 1) Do you want Mac students now and in the future to have a top-notch experience that opens doors for them as they leave Macalester to make a difference? 2) Do you wish to support Macalester because of its mission to support internationalism, multi-culturalism, and service to community, especially at a time when private colleges are the focus of diminished federal funding? I'll throw in a third: How do you want the Macalester Class of '76 to be remembered? With these questions in mind, it's time to give back to our college that has meant so much to us, in so many ways. Thank you Class of '76! And in the words of John B. Davis, who turned the Mac ship around our senior year, "HAIL MACALESTER!" Let's, as a class, keep Macalester strong!!
