Are you currently a student enrolled in an academic program related to GIS, Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geography or other associated field? Are you required to serve an internship prior to graduation? Would you like a paid internship to supplement your income? Are you interested in working for a Metropolitan County that has an established GIS database and working with the ESRI Parcel Fabric GIS data model?
Ramsey County has been utilizing ESRI GIS products since 1984 and supports an established GIS parcel database, physical features and ortho-photography data sets. Ramsey County has an opening GIS intern beginning in September 2015. The anticipated GIS tasks involve the areas of data maintenance and enhancement Specifically the tasks will involve:
• Calculate Plats and perform GIS spatial adjustments
• Assist with GIS parcel data maintenance using the ESRI Parcel Fabric Data Model
• Assist with researching and defining encumbrances and road easements
