🏈This Saturday, CFANS, Gopher Sports, and agribusinesses from throughout the state will be joining forces for the 14th annual Celebrate Ag and Food Day at Huntington Bank Stadium as Minnesota takes on Mississippi State.

🚜The Gophers will highlight the hard work, innovation, and resiliency of the folks who work in the agriculture and food industry here in the great state of Minnesota.

That’s a wrap on the Great Minnesota Get-Together! 🥲🎡🫶

We couldn’t have done these 12 days without our phenomenal CFANS volunteers—students, alumni, staff, faculty, and friends who brave the crowds to share their passion with thousands of visitors.

Thank you to everyone who visited us (we gave out 15,000 Goldy headbands!!) and an extra big thanks to our volunteer crew 🤩

Christensen Farms Stage Takeover! Follow along today to see what a day at the Minnesota State Fair like for John and Bethany, the Christensen Farms Stage and FFA Chapter House Interns.

John will be a junior studying Applied Economics. A fun fact about John is that in his free time he enjoys spending time with his fraternity brothers in FarmHouse.

Bethany will be a sophomore studying Plant Science with a track in Agronomy. A fun fact about Bethany is that she spent 6 years in FFA!

My name is Abby, from the UMN Agricultural Education, Communication & Marketing Club! I am currently a senior at the University of Minnesota studying Agriculture and Food Business Management with a minor in Animal Science.

Fun fact about me: I was raised in a dairy farm so I have lots of milk experience! But I can confidently say that I have experience with sheep, hogs, and horses!

In case you missed it: two University of Minnesota students are finalists for Princess Kay of the Milky Way this year!

Princess Kay will be crowned on Wednesday, August 26, before the start of the Minnesota State Fair, after which she will then spend the next year traveling the state promoting Minnesota’s dairy industry at events, engaging consumers, and advocating for the state’s dairy farmers. This year’s finalists will continue the tradition of having their likeness sculpted in butter during the Fair.

Of the ten finalists named this year, two are students at the University of Minnesota: Claudia Frenchick, a sophomore majoring in Animal Science right here in CFANS; and Morgan Morrow, who will begin studying agricultural business with a minor in Horticulture at University of Minnesota Crookston this fall.
