Thomas Accounting Club

Hopefully, this section will give you a good idea of what the club is like. If you'd like to learn more about the club, the best way is to show up to meetings and see it for yourself. Just be sure to sign in when the sheet goes around so you can eventually fulfill your membership requirements if you decide to join the club. At Meetings:

During each meeting, the representin

g firm will begin their presentation at 11:45 am and following the presentation, it is open up for questions along with a networking lunch. Food is provided and you are free to network and ask plenty of questions with business professionals and accounting club members. The club aims to provide students with the information about their future careers that isn't taught in the classroom. We hope the format of the meetings allows students to: Learn about opportunities at each firm, and in the industry as a whole; Ask questions; Network with firm representatives, other students, and club members; And get to know the people you will be interviewing with. Each semester, we bring in a variety of firms to talk about career opportunities, and what they do. Guests include:

Volunteer Events:

Volunteer events are a great way to meet new people and have a good time by giving back to the community. In the past, the club has been very successful with each of the volunteer events that members have worked hard to contribute to the community. Some examples of past volunteer events are: Community clean-up, Arch March to the Ronald McDonald's house, and more. Social Events:

Social events are one of the most effective ways to network with business professionals and other club members outside of meetings. Some examples of past social events are: bowling, meet and greets, office visits, Spring Banquet, career fairs, and more. Spring Banquet:

Every spring, the Accounting Club hosts a Spring Banquet at the Minneapolis Campus that is open up to all accounting students and faculty. Many firms and business professionals come join us at our eventful evening and it is a great networking opportunity. At this banquet, there is a social hour followed by a networking dinner. Presentations, guest speakers, and scholarship winners are also announced and taken place at the banquet. Faculty and students of St. Thomas are all welcomed to attend.
