Luther Seminary Student Council is the student organization that advocates through a number of programs for high quality community, academic, and student life at the seminary. The Luther Seminary Student Council meets monthly as a full council and typically one other time a month in smaller action teams. The Luther Seminary Student Council is a student elected body of representatives who meet mont

hly to work on behalf of the students. Meetings are open to all who care to join, and each officially recognized student group is allowed to have one member as a representative to the council to join in voting on important decisions. Main council duties include empowering students by giving them a voice and offering support to student groups. The student council is made up of 16 elected members and a member of each student group as voting members. The student council advisor is Carrie Carroll, Dean of Students. M.Div. Curriculum Survey
Through Sept. 3

All M.Div. Middler, Intern, and Senior Students are invited to participate in a survey regarding the M.Div. curriculum at Luther. Your feedback will be used to assist Dean Koester and the curriculum review committee as they work toward revising the current curriculum over the coming year. Your input is a critical piece of the curriculum review, this is your chance to tell the Dean everything you have ever wanted to say regarding the Luther curriculum.

Congratulations and blessings to our 2016 graduates! Thank you for answering God's call. We wish you well as you live out your ministry and serve God and God's people--be that in a church, hospital, school, camp, counseling center, nonprofit, community organization, publishing house, and on and on. We are grateful for the many and varied places you are being sent for the sake of world and we hold you in prayer!

As a sign of our appreciation for the opportunity to serve the Luther Seminary community this year, the 2015-2016 Student Council invites you--students, faculty, staff, and administration--to a time of fellowship on Wednesday, May 11th from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the OCC Narthex. Please take a break from work and finals when you are able for coffee, tea, breakfast pastries, and conversation. Chapel, of course, will follow at 11:00 a.m. with a blessing of the interns and Community Meal after that. Join us!

Our last 2015-2016 Student Council meeting is this Thursday from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in Stub Hall. Please join us as the current Council wraps up business and the new 2016-2017 Student Council members are installed.
