In honor of Juneteenth, Metro State Library is closed on Friday, June 19. We hope everyone enjoys the holiday and comes back to visit us when we reopen on Saturday, June 20, at the normal time. All of our digital resources will remain available.

Don’t forget to join us for Community Fun Day Saturday, June 27 with family-friendly festivities starting at 2 p.m.

Enjoy Tucker’s Robot, an original puppet show performed by Open Eye Theatre, at 4 p.m. Other free activities include a Story Stroll near the labyrinth featuring an oversized version of Dreamers by Yuyi Morales; face painting; free books; crafts and lawn games; snacks and so much more! We encourage you to bring your own lawn chairs and picnic blankets to sit back and relax. If the weather doesn't cooperate, the show and festivities will be held inside the libraries.

Come one, come all to Metro State's VIRTUAL Open Mic for writers! Join us at 6:00pm on Thursday, June 11th for an evening of poetry, prose, and short stories. This event is open to all Metro State students, alumni, staff, and faculty. PLEASE NOTE: Both the June and July Open Mics will be taking place over Zoom.
