Volunteer with Metro State at Commencement Expo!

Help us welcome the next generation of Metro State University alumni! Join the Metro State Alumni Association on Saturday, November 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Commencement Expo.

We’re looking for volunteers to help:
Welcome soon-to-be graduates
Assist with cap and gown forms
Provide directions and answer questions
Share alumni resources, volunteer opportunities, and upcoming events
Help distribute Metro State swag!

📅 Date: Saturday, November 7
⏰ Time: 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. (two volunteer shifts available)
📍 Location: New Main Great Hall, Metro State University’s St. Paul Campus

Light refreshments and beverages will be provided, and all volunteers will receive a free parking voucher!

There are still a couple weeks left to share your thoughts on the library's second-floor reflection space! You can vote once per day through October.

Located on the second level of the library within the silent study room, is a reflection space that provides a quiet place to pause and recharge. This month, we’d love to hear from those who use or would like to use this space. Please take a moment to complete our poll and let us know what one change would make this space better for you.

Would you prefer:

Making the space bigger?
Moving it to a different part of the library?
Having more mats?
Adding a shoe rack?

To cast your vote, just drop a pom pom in the small bin labeled with your selection. You can vote once each day through October 31. Or make a suggestion here in the comments. Thank you for your feedback!

Fellow gardening enthusiasts are invited to sort seeds with us, Saint Paul Public Library, and Urban Roots at Community Seed Circle on Wednesday, October 21, in the Dayton's Bluff Library. From 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., we'll be replenishing the East Side Seed Library and chatting with neighbors about all things gardening. Orientation is provided for volunteers, and free tea is available for everyone. 🌱
