We are an organization composed both as a club with general members that meets on Sundays and the Gustavus Adolphus College Model UN Travel Team that travels to MUN conferences.

To our fellow BIPOC friends, we stand with you.

Gustavus Model UN is an anti-racist organization devoted to creating a positive and inclusive climate on our campus.

Model UN strives to maintain strong leadership in order to represent accessibility, equity and inclusivity both within our organization and on the Gustavus campus. As an organization that focuses on international and political affairs, it is pertinent that we speak out in times of injustice. We encourage all voices to speak out, stand up, and share their political opinions in the safe and professional setting that is the Model UN environment. We do NOT condone or allow any messages of hate within, or in association with, our organization.

We recognize and sympathize with the horrific murder of George Floyd by the Minneapolis Police Department. We stand in solidarity with the protestors and are in full support of the Black Lives Matter movement. We also are immensely proud of our members who have participated in these forms of peaceful political activism.

We, as an organization and as Gusties, are working to implement change within our community. Our executive board has discussed, and will continue to discuss, concrete ways in which we will implement much needed change at Gustavus.
